Surface Preparation Done with Detail
We use crushed glass, baking soda, or crushed walnut shell (depending on the substrate) to remove old paint and rust. Using crushed glass on metal substrate creates a clean and properly etched surface, providing a mechanical bond for tight adhesion of primers and paints. Baking soda removes contaminants from fiberglass and sensitive surfaces effectively. To achieve the results you want for surface preparation, we provide:
The Versatility of Soda Blasting
Soda (sodium bicarbonate) blasting is an environmentally friendly way of removing paint, dirt, coatings, and other surface contaminants. Additionally, it will not damage the surfaces being cleaned, such as metals, stone, glass, wood, plastic, and more. You can also use it to thoroughly and safely remove graffiti from brick, sandstone, marble, and other sensitive surfaces.
No Sand Used
We do sandblasting without actually using sand. That's because sand contains crystalline silica, and when used as a blasting media, it releases free silica, which is a known cause of silicosis disease. If you'd like to know more about why we've chosen to not use sand in our blasting, don't hesitate to reach out.
